residence of the family since 1876.
Birla Planetarium is fully computerized; located in the Kotturpuram, near Anna `University, can seat 236 persons. The planetarium is an integral part of Periyar Science and Technology Centre, a premier institute in the southern state of India, Tamil Nadu.
Sprawling over an area of 22 acres, with rare trees, shrubs, flower beds and bonsais. This garden is situated at the heart of the city, near St. George’s Cathedral on Cathedral Road. Seeds, seedlings and plants are on sale. The annual flower show enthuses hordes of visitors.
Marina Beach is the new Light House. It stands 48m above sea level and offers a panoramic view of the city. The light house is open to visitors from 14 Hrs to 16 Hrs .
