Item description

How a Tanjore Painting board is made?

We implement dedicated care in building the Tanjore painting board and ensure it come up with better quality.

The board we create is totally water-proof and fungus proof with a minimum thickness of 6mm.

The board we provide will have a space of 1.5 inches cut to bring out the exact shape and fit in size according to the artwork.

Then the board is rubbed properly with the emery paper in its front and edges.

The board is then covered with the marked cloth (particularly covering the plywood) leaving an extra space of 1.5- 2 inches in all the sides.

Create a mixture fluid of fevicol and water taken together in the bowl.

Now a cloth is taken and dipped into the mixture, dried partially and pasted on both the sides of the board covering its length and breadth.

To make the cloth intact fevicol is applied in all the corners of the plywood board.

Apply the mixture and fevicol paste in the front side of the wood using bar hands.

The mixture and fevicol need to be spread evenly and then give some time for it to get dried.

Again use the emery paper and rub the front face once it got dried.

One cup of chalk powder is added with the remaining fevicol and water mixture at a ratio of 2:1:1

Combine and mix all these liquids thoroughly until they get blended with each other.

Now smooth out the board with emery paper and glass bottles.

The design will be traced out with a minimum of leaving 1 inch in all the sides

The design is tapped on the top and the yellow carbon is kept underneath in the final stage to accomplish the creation process of the Tanjore artboard.

Being a supreme quality Tanjore art and painting provider in Chennai, we give great focus in selecting the boards and ensure it is created with a procedure.
